A zero-waste és a slow fashion egyik legjelentősebb magyarországi képviselője, Vetlényi Alma divattervező.
Alma ruhái nem csak divatosak és egyediek, de az önazonos, magabiztos nő életszemléletét is közvetítik. Legújabb kollekciója megtervezésekor a gyökereihez nyúlt vissza, felelevenítve, mindazokat az értékeket, amiket művész családban való felnövekedésnek is köszönhet.
A fenntartható, környezetbarát, GOTS minősítésű anyagokból - főként Tencelből, nemezelt gyapjúból, biopamutból és kender farmerből - készült ruhadarabok a tervezésnek és szabásmintáinak köszönhetően a lehető legkevesebb hulladék keletkezésével jöttek létre.
A ruhák gombjait Alma tervei alapján, Lantos Judit, szentendrei kerámiaművész készítette, a mintás darabok printjei pedig a tervező kézzel festett akvarelljeiből keltek életre az anyagokon. Személyes ihletettségű, értékőrző ruhadarabokról van szó mindamellett, hogy a környezet számára sem megterhelőek.
Mivel a tervező védjegye a környezettudatosság, a kollekció létrejöttéhez együttműködött a szintén zero-waste és slow fashion irányzatban jártas, fenntartható és környezetbarát anyagokkal dolgozó Pinkponiloval. Az alapanyagok kiválasztásában Kudron Anna nyújtott segítő kezet Almának, több hetes online kutatás, egyeztetések és anyagminták átböngészése kellett ahhoz, hogy Alma számára megfelelő minőségű és színű, a kollekció elképzeléseibe illeszkedő textilek Budapestre érkezhessenek. Ezt követően Almával és munkatársaival együtt "beköltöztünk" a stúdióba, és apró elemenként álltak össze a szabásminták, makettek, és kerültek terítékre a helyi gyártású kiegészítők. A stúdiónk mellett több cég segítette a tervező munkáját. A „Back to the roots” kollekció azóta bemutatásra került a Budapest Central European Fashion Weeken is. Hihetetlen élmény volt a sok háttérmunkálat után a digitális divatbemutatón látni a végeredményt. Nagyon sok sikert kívánunk Almának az előtte álló további kihívásokra!
One of the most significant representative of zero-waste and slow fashion in Hungary is Alma Vetlényi.
Alma’s clothings are not only fashionable and original, but they also represent the philosophy of self-confident women. When designing her latest collection she went back to her roots, reviving those values that she has because of growing up in an artist family.
Thanks to their designing and tailoring pattern, the sustainable, environmental-friendly, and GOTS certified material - mostly Tencel, felted wool, bio cotton and hemp – made clothings were created with as little waste as possible.
Based on Alma’s plans, the buttons on the clothes were made by Judit Lantos, a potter from Szentendre, and the printed motives on the patterned pieces came to life from the designer’s hand-painted aquarelles.
These pieces of clothes are very personal besides that they’re not bad for the environment.
Since the designer’s trademark is environmental awareness, for the birth of her clothes she cooperated with Pinkponilo, because we’re also experienced in zero-waste and slow fashion, and we work with sustainable and environmentally-aware materials. Anna Kudron gave a helping hand to Alma in choosing the right materials, but they still needed a few weeks of online searching, conciliation and material sample checking until the right qualities and colours that fit perfectly into the imagination of her collection arrived in Budapest. After that, we „moved into'' the studio with Alma and her colleagues to put together all the small pieces of the tailoring patterns, samples and all the local made accessories. Besides our studio, many other companies helped to create the collection.
The „Back to the roots'' collection has been presented at The Budapest Central European Fashion Weekend. It was amazing to see the results at the digital fashion show after all the hard work! We wish Anna a lot of luck for her challenges ahead!
